Community Magazines LLC, publisher of three monthly magazines serving eleven distinctive cities and towns west of Boston, has created publications for a highly educated, sophisticated audience that is attuned to the wider interests of culture, politics and events in their own and adjacent communities. In these pages, readers are indulged with an artful and provocative blend of stories beginning with articles about individuals in their respective community who, in their lifetimes, have achieved distinction in their field; from academia to business, science to sports, entertainment and art, opening their worlds to our readers. In addition, each magazine offers colorful profiles, hot finds, local arts coverage and special sections focusing on a variety of timely topics, from home and garden to health and fitness, to dining and entertainment. Newton Magazine, now in its seventh year, pioneered the concept of a monthly magazine oriented towards the individuals of distinction in a local community – including four Nobel Prize winners – two on one street. Our slogan, Your Community Forum, is a way of inviting readers to take part in these publications. Each month, a multitude of stories and ideas are received from involved readers, often serving as a basis for future articles. Brookline Magazine, begun in 2005, is enjoying its third year of publication in a vibrant town full of creative achievers in every field. This magazine has found ready audiences interested and excited to learn about those in their community who have achieved things beyond themselves. Metrowest Magazine, our newest publication, which was introduced in March of 2007, has been enthusiastically received in the communities it serves: Needham, Wellesley, Weston, Dover, Sherborn, Wayland, Natick, Framingham and Sudbury. Focusing on those individuals who have achieved distinction in this geographic area helps foster a deeper sense of community in Metrowest.
